Why is Numerology so Accurate? – *2021 Update* Find Out How it Works

Numerology is the study of numbers and what they can help us understand about a person’s traits, motivations in life, and downfalls. This discipline looks at dates, names, and intuitively-driven connections to numbers to get that information.

Numerology Accuracy Explained

Adding up the sum of numbers derived from your name or adding up the sum of your birth date, month, and year can lead to very revealing realizations.

Professionals skilled in Numerology can provide readings that will tell an individual what to look how for in life, who they’re compatible with, what skill sets they need to work on, and more. A full reading can reveal a lot about who you are as a person as well as your potential.

History of Numerology

Numerology has been around for thousands of years, although we only just put a name to it in the last few centuries.

For as long as mathematics has existed people have been looking for and attaching meaning to numbers. It’s instinctual, and Numerology is the study of these relationships.

Today cultures all over the world attach meaning to certain numbers. The Western world looks at 13 as an unlucky number, whereas the Eastern world believes that 666 is auspicious.

There are three formal systems of Numerology that we’ll be exploring. Each one addresses numbers or numbers and letters, using the sums to reach conclusions about an individual’s life path and traits.

Which system you use depends on the professional you choose to work with or which one you feel particularly drawn to. Keep in mind that Numerology is based as strongly in intuition as it is in mathematics!

Accuracy and Foresight

So what makes Numerology accurate?

Getting an accurate reading can be as easy as finding a numerologist who is skilled with mathematics and well-versed in the system they choose to utilize.

The numbers 1-9 are assigned traits and meanings, so there isn’t much room for error. Finding a trained, knowledgeable numerologist is an important part of accuracy.

A good reading can result in “freakishly accurate” results, and once your mind is opened to the signs that Numerology can reveal, you’ll see them everywhere.

It just takes a bit of practice to learn how to read them.

It also helps that Numerology has had strong advocates from the start. The Pythagorean System is based on the great Greek mathematician himself.

Many skeptics who look into their readings end up shocked at how accurate the outcomes are and begin to pay attention to numeric signs in their lives they might have missed before.

Numerology Systems

There are three main systems we’ll be looking into, each one approaching Numerology slightly differently. But they all take careful mathematics into account.

Chaldean Numerology

Tied closely to astrology, this system originated in Mesopotamia. In Chaldean Numerology each letter has a vibration that is unique, and each letter is assigned a number 1-8 based on that vibration.

You might be wondering why 9 is missing from this list of single digits. This is because Chaldean Numerology considers 9 to be a sacred number related to the concept of infinity.

In Chaldean Numerology any single digit number reveals a person’s outer nature. Double digits reveal inner traits, strengths, and weaknesses. Here’s a list of the numbers 1-8 and their alphabetic assignments:

1 = a, q, y, i, j

2 = b, r, k

3 = g, c, l, s

4 = d, m, t

5 = e, h, n, x

6 = u, v, w

7 = o, z

8 = f, p

Kabbalah Numerology

This system is most often used to interpret names and derives from the Hebrew alphabet. It too focuses on vibrations, and eventually adapted to fit the Greek and Roman alphabet. Interestingly, Kabbalists believed that the Old Testament was written in a code meant to be interpreted by Numerology.

Kabbalah Numerology has ties with Tarot reading due to the inclusion of twenty-two Trump cards and twenty-two letters. Some people choose to use these two systems in conjunction.

A = 6

B = 12

C = 18

D = 24

E = 30

F = 36

G = 42

H = 48

I = 54

J = 60

K = 66

L = 72

M = 78

N = 84

O = 90

P = 96

Q = 102

R = 108

S = 114

T = 120

U = 126

V = 132

W = 138

X = 144

Y = 150

Z = 156

Pythagorean Numerology

The most popular and most used system of Numerology was developed by Pythagoras. He’s most famous for the Pythagorean Theorem, further supporting his claim to fame as a master mathematician.

Although it hasn’t been proven many numerologists believe that he is the founder of Numerology and practiced it during his lifetime.

Pythagorean Numerology uses the name and date of birth of an individual, along with numbers assigned to letters of the Greek alphabet, to predict fate, destiny, and a person’s path in life.

Pythagorean Numerology also includes Master Numbers.

1 = a, j, s

2 = b, k, t

3= c, l, u

4 = d, m, v

5 = e, n, w

6 = f, o, x

7 = g, p, y

8 = h, q, z

9 = i, r

Scientific Explanations

Numerology talks often about vibrations.

In science, vibrations are also referred to as energy put off by an object or source. For example, light, electricity, and string instruments can all put off energy patterns that we can sense as vibrations.

Pythagoras himself discovered that there is a relationship between music notes and numbers when it comes to stringed instruments.

This relationship can be broken down mathematically – so why wouldn’t the same reasoning apply to our lives?

If you’re just starting out in Numerology you might be introduced to the idea of vibrations by being asked if any numbers feel oddly significant or ‘wrong’ to you. Recognizing the effect that certain numbers have on you is recognizing their vibrations.

A number that feels significant to you may have an energy that you can physically feel as well.

Controversies About Numerology

Even those who believe in and practice Numerology have stepped forward to question just how accurate the practice is.

After all, most systems operate on single digit numbers 1-9. Can a unique individual’s life path really be explained with so few options? With billions of people on this earth is Numerology really diverse enough to be accurate?

One answer is to approach Numerology the same way that some people approach Astrology.

It isn’t necessarily going to provide exact details on events or a specific situation you may find yourself in, but Numerology could reveal enough about your personality traits to help you navigate the tough parts of life or set yourself up for success.

Those who disagree with Numerology as an accurate way to read into a person’s life point out that clients are thinking selectively, and only picking up on things that ring true for them, ignoring everything that doesn’t.

Despite the weaknesses that have been pointed out when it comes to numerological systems, it must be admitted that there is enough mathematic support behind it – literally centuries of it – to give it some credibility.

It’s possible that we just haven’t harnessed enough of an understanding of the world around us, numbers, and energy, to get the most out of Numerology.

Humans have a tendency to think we’ve reached our peak knowledge and have the highest understanding of our world. But there are things going on around us that we might not have caught onto yet.

Either way, if you’ve felt the effects of vibrations, energy, or something as simple as an attraction to or recurrence of certain numbers of your life, Numerology is worth pursuing.

There’s a chance that the universe has been trying to reach out and show you your path.
